Types of Commercial Install

Regardless of the scope of work, we make going solar an easy, turnkey experience for you and your business.

Pitched Rooftop (Flush Array) on Apartments

Pitched Rooftop (Flush Array) on Apartments

Roof-Mounted Array: Flush to Pitch

The most common type of solar installation in the country. If your business has a pitched roof similar to that of a residence, the solar array will be mounted parallel to the shingles, preventing wind shear and maintaining a sleek, aesthetically-pleasing form.

Flat Rooftop (Tilted Array) on Chevron Gas

Roof-mounted array: tilted or ballasted

Many commercial buildings have flat roofs, and solar doesn’t like to be pointed straight up at the sky. Our engineering team will find precisely the right pitch and maximize your existing space up to structural code. Popular with gas stations, office buildings, warehouses, and big-box shopping centers like IKEA and Walmart.

Carport or Covered Parking Array

While your roof is the obvious choice for solar, you might be overlooking another wide-open opportunity - your parking lot. All that asphalt is just baking in the sun year-round when it could be saving you money. Your employees and guests are probably begging for some shade in the summer. Turn that wasted space into an asset for your business.

Commercial Solar Tax Incentives

Click on the images below to see how much of their costs they were able to recapture.

Federal Solar Tax Credit of 30%

Like the tax credit available for residential properties, there is also a federal tax credit of 30% in 2019 for commercial businesses who invest in solar panels or solar systems. This money comes back to you on your tax return as a dollar for dollar tax credit against your tax liability.

MACRS

Modified Accelerated Cost Recovery System (MACRS) or depreciation of the equipment allows you to write off the cost of your system. This tax benefit can offset an additional 25-30% off the total cost of installation in real dollars off of your system. This money comes back to you over a 5-year period with 60% being credited to you in the first year and 10% in the remaining.
