Auric Volunteers at the YWCA Utah

Auric Solar volunteers spent a recent Saturday morning at the YWCA Utah, the location of the first Buy Solar. Give Solar. project.

“You know how you feel so much better when you come home to a clean, well-kept home? That’s what you’re doing for our residents here at the YWCA,” said Yen Nguyen, YWCA Utah’s Volunteer & In-Kind Donations Coordinator. “Every weed you pull is one that our staff doesn’t have to take the time to. By providing service here this morning, you’re freeing up our maintenance staff to do other things to help our residents.”

More than forty volunteers cleaned the grounds, planted flowers, organized the onsite boutique and provided children’s activities. “YWCA Utah does so much good for the community,” said Auric Solar Co-Owner Tyler Gordon. “We are honored to partner with them for the Buy Solar. Give Solar program, both through donating a solar system and providing time and service.”

YWCA Utah is the first project in Auric’s Buy Solar. Give Solar. program. For every 100 kilowatts installed, Auric will donate 1 kilowatt toward a free solar system for the YWCA. When Auric has installed 5,775 kilowatts, Auric will donate a 57kW system for the YWCA’s Huntsman Building.
